Arlene Friberg-Vivaldi is a sculptor and painter whose Modern Art style lends itself to her study of movement and emotion. She will demonstrate bas-relief sculpting which will also include how to transfer a sketch to wet clay and then how to create depth in the piece. A variety of materials are used in her sculptural work but her beginnings were born out of clay. Texture, shapes and light are reoccurring elements in her work.
She is vice-president of the Florida Sculptors Guild, an active group that exhibits its members’ work throughout Central Florida.
The demonstration will follow a brief meeting of the Sanford Seminole Art Association monthly meeting. It is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
