About

Sanford Seminole Art Association (SSAA) is one of the oldest cultural organizations in Seminole County. We were first organized in 1959 to support and encourage local artists and art education through demonstrations, workshops, and training.

Our monthly meetings run from September through May and include a short business meeting, followed by an art demonstration from a member or guest artist. These sessions also offer the opportunity to socialize and connect with fellow artists while enjoying refreshments. Our members are encouraged to bring examples to share their latest artistic creations for "Show and Tell."

In addition to our monthly meetings, paid membership includes the opportunity to participate in at least four (4) art shows per year at various venues throughout central Florida at no additional cost to you.

We also organize plein air group outings, educational outreach to the community, and art scholarship opportunities.

We invite you to visit us and meet our artists and members. Please note that you do not have to live in Seminole county to be part of our association. We currently have members who live in Orange, Lake and Volusia counties.

Dates: Meetings are usually on the 4th Saturday of the month, September thru May.

Location: Seminole County Sheriff's Office
Community Room (to the right of the front desk)
100 Eslinger Way, Sanford, FL 32773

Time: 12:00 to 3:00pm (Social interaction and Show & Tell starts at noon with a light
lunch - brought by the members). The business meeting follows and
upon conclusion, the artist DEMO will immediately begin.

The annual membership fee is currently $35.00/yr. To join us, click the MEMBERSHIP link (above) for our Membership Application. You can either mail the application to the address on the bottom of the application along with a check or bring to one of our monthly meetings.

Please visit the GALLERY page for examples of our members' art and demos by visiting artists at our monthly meetings.

The EVENTS page lists our meetings, art demos, annual shows, and community outreach, along with photos that document the events.

If you are not committed to joining YET, you are welcome to join us ---as our guest---at any of our monthly meetings, or come to our Meet the Artist receptions, so you can get a feel for being part of this exciting group. We look forward to getting to know you!
