WHO: Sanford Seminole Art Association
WHAT: Phyllis “Pannet” Taylor– Intentional Creativity – mixed-media painting demo.
Phyllis Anne Taylor’s work focuses on painting and drawing as an alternative method for creatively expressing feelings to persons who had experienced abuse, allowing them to release negative feelings buried deep within themselves. She teaches women how to create their own feminine images and how art is used to help release hurts and to re-imagine lives. There is freedom and wholeness in being able to see images that reflect women as they see themselves and not as others see them.
She resides in Fern Park and is active in the central Florida community. She teaches Xpress Yourself! Art Classes at the DaVita Humana Community Center in Fern Park and Intentional Creativity art workshops at the Maitland Art Center in Maitland. She is a certified Creativity Fit Coach. She signs her name “Pannet” which is a combination of her first initial, middle name and last initial.
She trained in figurative drawing and painting at Tyler School of art in Philadelphia. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from the Philadelphia College of Art. She studied Art Management at the American University in Washington, C. She worked as an artist for USA Today in Roslyn, Va. She has won numerous awards with her portraits and images.
