SSAA September meeting

WHERE: Historic Sanford Welcome Center (NOT the Sanford Library next door)
WHEN: Saturday, September 28, at 1pm. (Same time)
EVENT: SSAA business meeting and guest Demo Artist: Photographer Reg Garner.

REASON FOR MOVING? Reg would like to use a big screen TV for his presentation, and the library doesn't have one.

Snacks are provided this meeting by the Board.

GUEST ARTIST: Reg Garner spends his free time afield, making photographs along beaches, natural spring, or deep in a swamp. His work is displayed at area hospitals, local offices, and galleries.

He will be discussing photos tips and techniques and how to take photos to use as reference materials for paintings and drawings. Reg also enjoys teaching photography at local camera clubs and is frequently a guest speaker on photographing Florida nature.

Reg’s love for photography was inspired by his father, also a photographer, who taught him the fundamentals of film cameras. As a young man, Reg met and attend a lecture by the father of landscape photography, Ansel Adams, who has influenced Garner’s photography ever since.

His lecture will follow a brief meeting of the Sanford Seminole Art Association monthly meeting. It is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
