Members - Kateryna Solnyshkina

As an aspiring artist from Ukraine, Kateryna is eager to explore everything around her as a subject for drawing and painting.

While traveling around the United States and visiting many national and state parks, she was inspired by the beauty of nature. That's when the desire to draw and replicate the beauty sparked.

She had no previous experience in drawing or painting. Still, she always loved to look closely at the works of great masters, visiting many museums throughout Europe and the United States.

As a student at Seminole State College of Florida, Kateryna took classes in drawing,
painting, design, and ceramics with professors Larry Vienneau, Tammy Lawless, and Jay Spalding.

Outside of college, Kateryna continues to study and participate in workshops and other extracurricular classes and activities.

Kateryna prefers and enjoys soft pastels to convey her perception of the subject and feelings. She is also interested in exploring oil pastels, watercolor pencils, ink, charcoal, and oil paint.

Her works were featured in the 2024 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibit at Seminole State College and the "Spring Beauty 2025" exhibition at Jam Art Gallery, Casselberry, where she received an Honorable Mention in the People's Choice Award.

Kateryna dreams of painting what she sees through her artistic vision of the world and conveying it on canvas to share her exploration of colors and shapes with the audience.
